The public is invited a an Open House as the Town of Mansfield’s Conservation Department and Open Space & Recreation Committee are working with Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development District (SRPEDD) to update the Town’s Open Space and Recreation Plan (OSRP). Getting input from the community is a key step in the Open Space and Recreation planning process.
Updated on a seven-year cycle, the OSRP document describes a community’s open space and recreation resources and identifies actions that will protect, enhance, and manage these resources into the future. An active OSRP makes the town eligible to apply for state grants that fund improvements to recreational facilities and open space lands.
