At the Annual Municipal Election a moderator shall be elected for a term of one year.
In the event of the absence or disability of the Town Moderator during a session of a Town Meeting, said session shall elect a temporary town moderator to serve for the duration of the session.
The moderator shall conduct annual and special town meetings. They may appoint assistant moderators as deemed necessary. They shall appoint temporary committees if so directed by vote of the Town Meeting. They shall exercise all the powers and duties of Town Moderators under the General Laws.
