Rt. 140 to Rt. 106 east - follow for 1.5 miles take a right onto Hope St. - take your first left. The Council on Aging/Library Facility is on the left

The board of selectmen shall appoint to a Council on Aging seven members to three-year overlapping terms in accordance with the General Laws.

The Council on Aging has been in existence since 1972, previously  located in a small storefront building in the center of town. After many  years of increased programs and growth the COA/Senior Center moved to  a new facility in 1989 with the Mansfield Library. The Mansfield COA/Library  facility are separate departments who work cooperatively to provide the  community with services and programs. The enhanced multi-purpose room  provides a meeting place for community non-profit organizations during  evening hours.The COA is a multi-facetted facility offering many services  & programs to elders 60 and over. Library services are across the  hall for all seniors to enjoy.

Mission Statement

The role of the Council on Aging is to provide quality elder services,  and programs that enhance elders mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
 To aid in the support of frail individuals to remain independent in their  homes;  assuring all elders of equality, dignity, and respect.
